In 32 years of working iron, I connected for close to 12 years and there was more than once when I got to the top of a column to make a point, I wished I had two hands free to ease the task. In some circumstances I believe the Column Climber will be able to replace a scissor lift, ladder or JLG. Imagine the time just to tie off a ladder, untie the ladder and carry it to the next point. But not only a time saver; imagine the savings on the additional rental of a scissor lift! Making a quick bolt-up to the lower bolt holes on large X-bracing to tacking or welding a clip for a wide flange, these are extremely impressive. Even a 1st Period apprentice can use these.

I believe this is the best non-mechanical idea for steel erectors I've ever seen
