It started with a simple problem. Scratched lenses. No matter the brand, scratches ruin all glasses, and it doesn't matter how careful you are—scratches always find a way. From dust and debris to the hazards of the workbench, all the way down to the ground for your casual and always accidental face-down drop. No matter what you do, the gauntlet of daily life just has to reach out and touch them once, and that's it. Your expensive lenses are scratched, and your glasses are ruined.
We've developed something to change that. Created within the HWV Special Projects Division, the Skynet is a next-generation eyewear platform designed to take scratch damage head-on with a replaceable protective layer, Lens Protection Film (LPF) adhered to the lens, acting as a barrier against the everyday hazards. In the event of a scratch or an abrasion, just remove the film and your scratches are gone.
Replacement LPF installs easily using a jig (included with the Full Package) and costs a fraction of a full lens replacement, keeping your eyewear ready for the next thing life throws your way, whether you are hard at work or hardly working.

Our lens is injection molded from thick 1.9mm shatter-resistant polycarbonate that is built to withstand Z87 Mass Impact Standards.
Integrated side-shields provide lateral protection and allow the frame to meet ANSI Z87+ requirements.
Each pair of Skynet is boldly marked Z87+ on the frame, arm and lens.

Rubberized Hytrel® (TPC-ET thermoplastic elastomer) touchpoints on the nose & arms provide a comfortable, non-slip fit that you can wear seamlessly all day long.
Low profile dual injected arms have been designed for performance across all conditions, allowing for a better fit with headwear from hats, helmets, and hearing protection.
Hytrel® inserts provide a higher resistance to both natural and man-made chemical agents increasing durability and longevity.
The Heat Wave LPF system is a durable, optically clear protective film applied over the lens, creating a sacrificial outer layer that is significantly more scratch-resistant than the lens surface itself.
LPF film absorbs abrasion, wear, and daily abuse, and when it finally reaches its limit, you replace the film not the lens.

The Skynet lens is molded from the ground up using advanced manufacturing techniques that remove traditional frame structure across the lens — delivering zero horizontal obstructions, reduced weight, and increased rigidity through a molded structural ridge.
The lens meets or exceeds mass impact requirements for Z87 standards, and is injection molded at a thickness of 1.9mm to the highest standards and tested to ensure optimal clarity, along with color and light transmission standards.

The design of the Skynet pushes toward a true nothing-but-lens look. Building on the vision first introduced with the Lazer Face, Skynet eliminates the traditional frame across the front entirely, integrating structure directly into the lens for added rigidity and reduced weight. Even the nose piece is mounted behind the lens and permanently fused, keeping the front profile completely unobstructed.
At its core is a lens developed from the ground up using advanced manufacturing techniques, allowing for zero horizontal obstructions, improved strength, and a lighter overall system. A molded structural ridge adds rigidity without compromising the clean silhouette.
Only what’s necessary remains—integrated lateral protection fused directly into the lens edge to meet Z87+ standards, paired with our Performance Series arms for the lightest system we’ve released to date.
